SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

[Goblins, you say? Kratos hasn't any experience with strange humanoids, but as he zones in, he makes the decision quite rapidly that Roy shall not be left to challenge them alone. That, at least, makes sense, which is more than he can say about this 'Easter' event.

The limits on his strength have not made his posture any less formidable, and he charges in with sword angled in front of him, dispatching one of the goblins with ease.]

[Elsewhere in the same area, a strange person is watching. He shows only the barest hint of being impressed with what he sees.]

[But the bunny ears make him look ridiculous. He had been feeling something all day, which was odd in and of itself, and had decided to play along with this whole festival thing in the hopes that it would allow him to observe reactions to the situation that even he had been thrust into... this place had never existed, according to the Records.]

[ And like all good rare item hunters, Hitei has flash mailed some old friends people she met at a restaurant once. And went adventuring.

The team is doing pretty well, actually. They've probably collected about half of their eggs so far, all of which are still whole and egg-like. Four to go. Unknown to them, the countdown to bunny ears has begun. ]

Hmm, I guess we should look in the underground now..?

Do we have to? [ Obviously Iceland isn't too excited about this prospect. It seems so sketchy down there...! ]

[yeah, this whole situation is idiotic and and like hell does he feel like playing along with their games. but food is a definite issue at this point, and he's seen the prize baskets, and even if he's still suspicious as all hell about everything in this place, he really doesn't have much of a choice right now.

[Still rather curious as to why people would insist on giving people strange tasks for food, and having absolutely no idea what is meant by the term "Chaos Gate" (although it certainly doesn't sound good), or why she hasn't seen any of these eggs in town, after all towns have areas, and even dungeons sometimes...]

[ Even though he's pierced a monster with his blade, it still lives. Eyes narrowing, Lu Xun kicks the monster and pulls his sword out -- no blood, but he habitually shakes it anyway. The monster moves closer again, this time accompanied by the other remaining one and Lu Xun is forced to jump backwards to avoid their attacks. ]

[ he had only just composed himself from the warp, not so unlike how he had found himself in the strange city called Mac Anu to begin with. Perhaps these "gates" were the key.

Before Jiang Wei could think too deeply on that though he heard someone's rallying cry. He didn't hesitate to follow the sounds of battle, seeing a young man matched against a cluster of mutated beasts. ]

[If only for the sake of gaining power in this ridiculous world, Yuber will play its games, but he will play them his way. He is participating! Only he isn't quite seeking out the eggs of his own area. No, no, he's seeking out any egg that the other "players" are tracking down, waiting to swoop in and steal them. Look at it this way, he's making this more interesting! Isn't that nice of him?

So maybe he's stalking you through an area, maybe he's already stepped in while you were busy with monsters and has taken what was to be yours! Either way, he's going to cause some trouble this Easter.]

[It actually took several tries of Yuuta entering in funny sounding area names until he managed to find a relatively low level one because he''s allowed occasional fun, okay. Collecting eggs sounds like an easy enough job for one person so this area suits him fine. And sure enough, after a little poking about on the first level of the dungeon, he's already managed to find three eggs. Although he's not entirely sure what the point of egg hunting is, at least there's a promise of food if he finds them all.]

[Going in alone, Joshua had made sure to find an area where he knew he could handle things. After all, there wasn't much use in underestimating things, right? And he still wasn't exactly the most familiar with the abilities that seemed to come with his position in this place, but practice makes perfect, after all~

He's already equipped with his basket, already containing two eggs, and what do you know! He's already found one that's equipped him with bunny ears, too.]

Ah, I suppose I should be, shouldn't I? This is all a game, after all, and a game isn't any fun if you don't play along with these things.

[Shindou's standing at the Chaos Gate because the message on his communicator thingy told him to. He's actually not entirely sure what to do so he's basically just standing around watching people come and go through the Chaos Gate.

He did manage to procure a basket though. Progress!]
