SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

[N climbs up into a tree with surprising ease, as nimble as a child despite his long gangly limbs.]

[And he knows it's one of the eggs they're looking for because in the nest it's the only bright pink egg.]

Huh? Where's the sea? [ she at least knows they're not by the sea! ]

U-uwa, be careful coming down!

Someone could easily pick some shells up to put them in a barrel. But it's not like anything really makes sense here, so the point is rather moot anyway...

[he glances up at N upon hearing viki's warning, but adds nothing. if you get up there yourself, you can get down yourself, or get hurt and learn a lesson from it.]

[You'd probably like to see him take a tumble, huh, Sara? But N hops down easily. It's not a very tall tree.]

We can do it, wa! [ feel her enthusiasm and otherwise useless positive traits!! ]

[he kind of would like to see N fall, ngl, but then he'd have to play concerned and that would just get irritating.]

Let's make it quick, then.

[N nodded in affirmation, moving to another tree to see if he could find another one in the branches.]

[ she is just going to follow somewhat excitedly. ]

[he does the same, minus the excitement and the tree-climbing. god who do you think he is, yuuri?]

[N does fairly well at staying on task, until the very last egg.

Unfortunately, he gets distracted by talking to the lucky animal, High Wolf, in the area. He's about done searching for eggs, it seems, too enamored with the cutesy little puppy.]

[ she contemplates following him to make sure the puppy doesn't bite him but... ]

Um, I think I see something over there. [ point, point. And looking at Saralegui, what do we do about N? :|a ]

[sigh. between the monsters, chim chims and this dog thing, he's about given up on N at the moment.]

Just let him do as he pleases. [aaand heading off towards the direction viki's pointing in.]

[N will follow, after he picks up the High Wolf and follows.]

[ oh good because she was kind of caught between following Saralegui and staying with N. She'll just hop/teleport up to Saralegui then. ]

That's the last one, right?

With any luck, yes.

[he pauses before the egg, eying it warily and pointedly not moving to touch it. he did warn them that he wouldn't, after all. instead, he casts a skeptical look back to N.]

Is it really a good idea to be carrying that thing around? For all we know, it could kill every one of us.

It's called High Wolf. Apparently it waits for people to kick it, like the Chim Chim do.

[The wolf squirms, it's supposed to run around!]

It gives people who catch it good luck. It's a good animal...

[uwawa]

[ don't worry, Viki will pick it up! And nothing happens, so she just holds it gently between her hands like a baaaby. ]

...but why does it want to be kicked? [ confused and a bit sad, that doesn't sound like a good time at all. ]

I wasn't aware that animals could be masochists. [he just holds out the basket for viki to deposit the last egg while rolling his eyes at N. look the thing is even trying to wriggle free, why the hell are you holding on to it.]

[solveforn]

[It squirms out of his arms, onto his shoulders, then hops off.]

It's a game.

How strange... I'd like to talk to them again.

[uwawa]

Eh? So it doesn't hurt to them...? [ watching that animal hop away. she sort of waves bye bye to it. don't get hurt strange wolf thing ;; ]

Whether it hurts or not, a game where you have to kick an animal? I'm surprised you're not throwing a fit over this. [he might not be all that into animals or anything, but he hardly likes the idea of kicking them.]

Animals are rough with each other when they play. There's a difference between an ill-natured strike and a playful one.

[Such is the life of an animal! He looks a bit disappointed, as he continues.]

If you could hear their voices, you would understand that. If everyone could hear their voices, they would all understand each other, so much better.

[uwawa]

[ headtilt. she's going to uh, put that egg into the basket. ]

But even when people hear each other it doesn't mean they understand. [ see this brilliant example of not understanding right here. ]

And even if you can't hear what they're saying exactly that doesn't mean you can't understand, so isn't that okay?

[N you are starting to sound very End Of Evangelion-esque. no bringing about instrumentality now, okay?

and either way, he doesn't have any way to respond to that without upsetting anyone, and he's not in the mood to play along, so he just glances back in the direction of the chaos gate, holding up their basket.]
