SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

I guess! Although, as far as dilemmas go, this isn't too bad. [Can't compare to what happened in his world in any case.]

We should start looking for the rest of the eggs though! Together, we've already found half of them.

... It sounds like you're speaking from experience. [That gets a half-hearted laugh; it's amusing and worrying at the same time, and Taiyou's curious, but that's a story for another time.]

Ah, right. It said eight, but one with a surprise... Wonder what that is~

[Yuuta smirks.] Knowing this place, probably something ridiculous.


Come on, let's go!

[And with that, he starts walking deeper into the dungeon.]

[Taiyou nods, and walks alongside Yuuta as they head deeper inside; looking out for the rest of the eggs.]

[isolates]

[As they walk, Yuuta's head turns from side to side in search but eventually the quiet gets to him, so he tries to make conversation.]

Have you been here long, Taiyou-nii?

Not terribly. I had to herd some animals when I first got here... [But he's not entirely sure how long ago that was.]

[isolates]

[He laughs.]

Oh! I remember that. It was a lot of fun.

[glassworkgenius]

It was! Though one of the animals was grumpy. It had a scary face and everything... Oh, I think I found another one, Yuuta-kun.

[He runs the short distance over to the egg and picks it up.]

[isolates]

[Yuuta runs after and grins as Taiyou picks up the egg.]

Great! Now we only need three more. We'll finish this hunt in no time.

[glassworkgenius]

Alright, let's keep moving.

[Taiyou puts the egg in the basket, and smirks, fist clenched.]

Whatever the prize is, it's going to be great!

[isolates]

Yeah probably!

[So off they go in search of more eggs!]

Hm, just in case monsters attack, can you fight?

[glassworkgenius]

Yeah, of course. I don't feel great about beating things up, but I guess since this is a videogame it's okay.

[isolates]

Okay, good! Since we don't want any surprises. Although if it comes down to it, I can protect you!

[He grins widely, half joking, half serious.]

[glassworkgenius]

Wow, that would make me look so uncool~ Not that I doubt that you can, Yuuta-kun.

[isolates]

Of course! I might be small, but I'm pretty reliable you know.

[He laughs loudly at that to hide the sudden pang of homesickness he felt--

but stops abruptly when he hears some sounds behind him. He frowns then turns around.]

I think we might have company.

[glassworkgenius]

[Taiyou tightly grips his wand and steps in front of the smaller boy.]

Let's see how good of a team we make, Yuuta-kun.

[isolates]

Okay! [Yuuta opens the book in front of him to ready a spell as a monster steps out from behind a corner.]

[glassworkgenius]

[Taiyou swings his staff to hit the approaching monster's head. When he misses, he takes a quick sidestep to dodge its bite, and for Yuuta to get a clear shot at the monster.]

[isolates]

[The waiting time for casting's a pain but it definitely helps when you have someone else on your party.

When Taiyou moves, Yuuta quickly aims his spell at the monster.]

Gan Bolg!

[glassworkgenius]

[When the spell hits the monster, it squeals and falls down to its side. Certain their first target is incapacitated, Taiyou then moves to strike his staff against the face of the next closest monster.]

[isolates]

[Yuuta on the hand focuses another spell at the last of the monsters, all the while keeping an eye on Taiyou, ready to go to his aid should he need it.]

[glassworkgenius]

[Taiyou dealt with the remaining monster just fine, and ended the battle with one last strike of his staff.] Whew... We did it!

[isolates]

[Yuuta grins widely.] Yeah! That wasn't so tough. Now we can continue looking for the rest of the eggs.

[glassworkgenius]

Your spells Yuuta-kun, those were great! Like... "BOOM"! [--Said with appropriate outstretching-of-arms gesture!]

Right, let's go find them!

[isolates]

It's nothing! I've had a lot of practice, that's all.

[He laughs enthusiastically as he sets off again.]
