SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

[he frowns, glancing down to his relic instead. he ignores the question for the time being -- because it is true, and he knows that shit happens and forgiveness is a necessary thing and all that, god knows what he'd have done if yuuri wasn't so forgiving -- but. well. he just didn't want to deal with it right now.]

What do I do with this? [redirection, with a gesture to the notification on his relic and an only slightly more neutral expression.]

I don't know if I'm any good at it, either. I was a trainer, a strategist, and a king, not a soldier.

[Before anything can be said, he warps to a field! Δ Buzzing Aster's 1000 Oaks. It's a low-level field, suited to their own levels.]

This should be acceptable, if things add up accordingly.

[And he takes a moment, reaching at his side for a sword that isn't there. Until, in a dazzling flash of light, it is. He draws it, looking at it with a curious and amused smile.]

King...? [but WHOOPS suddenly they are in a field and he forgets that train of thought for the moment, steadying himself so there isn't a repeat of his experience with viki's teleporting.

he's distracted for a moment, looking around at the new scenery -- he'd been getting so used to mac anu's permanent sunset and city walls, so it felt a little strange to be out in an open field again. but then N is pulling a sword out of nowhere, and he's staring because he is never going to stop being surprised here is he.]

Am I meant to have one of those as well, or did you just get lucky somehow?

It might not be a sword. It says that you're a "Macabre Dancer", on your Member Address information.

With your device, you should be able to check what your weapon and armor is called under "Equipment".

[he goes back to his relic, navigating back to the equipment tab easily enough. what he finds is not very encouraging, however.]

Fans?

Draw them from where that type of weapon would be kept. A sword is easier to understand than fans.

[he just. frowns for a moment, because where exactly does one draw fans from? he's seen ladies of the court toting them around, of course, but that's hardly a very offensive use, and he wasn't exactly ever paying attention to the girls as they were pulling them out.

it takes a minute or so of awkward fail gestures that don't actually get him anywhere, and if this whole team-up with N wasn't uncomfortable enough for him already then it definitely should be now, as silly as he feels with all this. the things eventually appear though, the gold and emerald-laced gifts from that clover-filled celebration the other day.]

...Lovely. [he turns them over in his hands, admiring the way the sun glints off the gold but not exactly all that confident about the fighting aspect of all this.]

[If it helps, N isn't paying an awful lot of attention while he figures that out, instead looking around the area. He's staring at a few monsters in the distance, looking quite distracted until Saralegui draws his weapon.]

[ it starts faint but there is a girlish scream that seems to be... decending onto them. ]

U-uwa-wa-wa-wa-- [ she squeaks at the end, bracing for impact. Thank goodness she's used to this. ]

[he should be used to this by now. at least he has more experience with this than N. but no, he just looks around the field when he first notices the sound, and fails to recognize the situation until he is once more on the ground, a double-black girl on top of him.

[Oh dear. N is clearly not prepared for this either, offering no resistance as he's bowled over by the two colliding forms. There's a confused yelp, but not much else.]

Oh...I sneezed again... [ it takes her a moment to notice the two men that softened her landing, not too long thankfully. ]

W-wa-wa! I'm sorry! [ she clumsily climbs off them, straightening herself and peering at them worriedly-- oh hey, you guys look familiar. ] Huh, did I got back in time?

[he looks up from the mercifully soft grass, already recognizing that voice, and -- yep, hi there viki. he just groans, rolling over and sitting up before recollecting his weapons, dropped in the fall.]

[N sits up, and... laughs. Viki was perhaps the strangest behaving person he'd ever met, but her earnest behavior was pretty unmistakable. It reminds him of a recklessly playful Pokemon.]

Neither of you are hurt, are you?

H-huh? [ she looks around in confusion when N starts laughing but... settles for a little smile in the end. If he's laughing that's good right. ]

I'm fine, wa! Um... I didn't hurt anyone, did I? Is anything missing?So I'm still in the same place...?

[glad to see you both find this entertaining. he just rolls his eyes as he stands, ducking his head to hide the gesture and keeping his tone at least joking, if he couldn't manage lighthearted.]

[Ah, dignity. N dismisses Saralegui's teasing.]

We're looking for the eggs. Do you want to help? Since I don't think any of us want to go without food.

[Blink, blink? Eggs? It looks like someone totally didn't know there was a quest going on. She looks around again as if to-- well, who really knows what Viki's doing. ]

Me? He means me? [ she spins back, looking quite excited. ]

W-wa! I'll definitely help! And then we can eat eggs together~?

I don't think the eggs are edible. It seems to be part of a celebration of some sort... [he shrugs, before going back to straightening his clothes and tucking his hair back, stupid little movements to keep himself busy and feel presentable despite everything.] I don't understand the reasons for it, but the prize included a basket of food.
