SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

I have one too? [ she trips up a bit the first step forward but otherwise falls into step behind N. She's definitely a follower by nature and she's more suited to be in the back row anyways. ]

O-oh, don't worry, I've fought before.

Check your pack. It should be there. [he falls into step beside viki, half out of courtesy and half out of spite. he still wasn't exactly thrilled with N after all, and it wasn't polite to leave a lady unaccompanied, even if just by a few feet.]

[N doesn't seem to mind either gesture, looking completely natural at the lead. There are no monsters on the hill, so N goes to the edge, overlooking the nearby areas to try and spot any eggs.]

[uwawa]

[ oh good, because she seems to have trouble walking and looking for her pack at the same time. stumble. ]

Oof! [ well she's well practiced in keeping herself from falling every time and after a moment of rummaging she does find it. She turns to beam at Saralegu] Wow, I do have one~!

[ NOW WHAT DOES IT DO? 8| ]

Check the sections labled "equipment" and "skills". See what they gave you for a weapon, and what sort of abilities came with it.

[he recites the instructions semi-automatically, and fairly well given he just learned them himself. but he's a bit distracted now, moving to a spot some feet away from N to scan the area in another direction.

everything sort of has a purple tiny to it, though -- that's the problem with these glasses. he frowns for a moment before slipping them off, blinking at the more intense colors for a moment before returning to the search.]

[N looks around more, moving to a new spot. He glances at Viki, taking out his Relic and sending her his Member Address.]

There. Now I can add you to the Party.

Do you see anything, Saralegui?

[uwawa]

[ Oh hey, what just happened there? ] Oh, we're a party! Um not that kind of party it was...um...

And adventuring party! [ she remembers!

...oh right, looking for eggs. she brushes at some of the thicker grass with the end of her staff to try to help. ] I can definitely help... um, maybe I should call for th-- oh, eggs can't answer.

[lavenderglasses]

[he's just frowning at the landscape for the moment, quickly becoming frustrated with this game. how are they supposed to find seven of these things, small as they are in an area this large?

just as he's about to turn away, however, a dot of something in the grass down below catches his eye. too small to see properly, and for all he knows it could be a rock, but there's a little splash of pastel there in the middle of the green, and he squints as he attempts to point it out to the others.]

Do you think that might be it?

[solveforn]

[N goes over to where Saralegui is standing, looking over his shoulder.]

Looks like it.

[And a ledge like this? Nothing different, for N! He slides right down it effortlessly, walking to go retrieve the egg.]

[uwawa]

W-wa! [ wait for her~ ;; She looks over at Saralegui and then down where N had gone. ]

Do we go too? [ this is much more complicated than the usual "beat up enemies or teleport them away" routine. ]

[lavenderglasses]

[he's about to say to just leave him be, the guy can manage to pick up an egg without assistance. but then he spots one of those groups of monsters wandering nearby -- not directly on top of the egg, but nearby enough, and while a cruel thought says he should just leave N to them, the part that's trying to be a decent person these days wins out with guilt.]

We should follow, just in case. [and he starts on down the ledge after N, much more carefully, and he pauses halfway down to offer a steadying hand to viki.]

[N does see the beasts, who all groan and growl at him. He picks up the egg in one smooth movement, and slowly approaches the lion-like Vak Fang. He holds his hands out, and starts whispering to them.

There appears to be a brief pause, but the monsters are still programmed to be monsters. They charge, and N draws his sword, looking thoroughly disappointed.]

[uwawa]

[ the hand offered surprises her and she again seems to look side to side as if to make sure it was being offered to her before taking it-- ]

E-eh?! What is he doing? [ even she knows it's not a good idea to tease the animals with sharp teeth! ]

Wa, we have to go now. [ she does take Saralegui's hand but rather than make their way there slowly she just teleports them both, so that they are once again a bare step behind N. ]

[he'd sort of planned on just being a gentleman and helping her down, so once again she has him half falling over himself with an unexpected teleport. there's certainly something to be said for the efficiency of it, though.]

Did you find your weapon yet? [he shoots her the question as he's pulling up his questionably-useful fans again, and he gives N a look that teeters between skeptical and dirty.] Was that really necessary? You could have made it away without a fight if you hadn't just walked up to them...

I wanted to hear their voices.

[He steps forward with sword drawn as the dog-like beasts pace momentarily to seize up their prey.]

But they don't have a voice.

[uwawa]

[ she surprisingly has her staff in hand already, before Saralegui even asks, as if it came perfectly naturally to her. And even though it wasn't her wand she didn't hesitate. ]

H-hold on... [ She raises her wand, a faint glow emitting from her left hand, summoning a contained cyclone to cut through the dog-like beasts. ]

[he's ready to argue with N, but then viki is firing off a spell of some sort, and the two beasts that weren't knocked back by it are darting forward, so that will all just have to wait.

seeing as viki can apparently handle herself, saralegui sidesteps behind N while activating the first of the two skills he relic listed, dek corv. discouragingly, all that happens is a sort of downward stroke of light over one of the monsters, and as far as he can tell it didn't hurt the thing at all. not that the spell description mentioned any physical harm being done, but still, it would have been nice. as things are, he can't even tell if he managed to do anything to it.]

Sword Flash!

[N takes a half-step forward, the knowledge of how to swing his blade flowing naturally. As he cut into the monsters, there was no blood, no gore. A red flash of light, and the hit points depleting.

It launches an attack, knocking N on his rear-end. With the attack lowered, he quickly scrambled back up, taking a few more swings at the monster.]

[uwawa]

[ it was a lot more chaotic than turn based rpg she remembered, the enemies lunging at them. It didn't help that Viki was unused to having to think of what she had to do for herself. The monsters she had knocked back before were nearing them again and only N was a short range fighter.

...she should get rid of them, right? Another blast of the same spell, this time hitting all but the one closest to N. ] Uwa!

E-e-aa..aat-- [ someone is holding back a sneeze. ]

[he's seen full scale war, so this shouldn't have seemed so overwhelming with only three opponents, but it was way different actually being in the middle of it all. he swipes at one of the monsters when it gets a bit too close for comfort, and surprisingly it seems to actually be pretty effective, and then viki's blown it back again before it becomes an issue.

he hears her over the sounds of the fight, and casts her a concerned look over N's shoulder with the spare moment he has.]

What, did one of them get at you?

[solveforn]

Yeah.

[He looks at himself - it was a decent cut on his arms. But it wasn't too different than the other scars he had.]

You weakened its strength.

U-uuu -- [ she can do it, she won't sneeze!!! ]

A-aaa-- [ oh god, what if she teleports one of them away, or just herself away and leaves them there, or teleports more monsters to them. She won't-- ]

Atchoo!

[uwawa]

[ nothing out of the ordinary happens for a moment and then...

hey look at that, furniture raining down on their enemies. ] Oh, thank goodness.

[lavenderglasses]

[well. that's one way to defeat an enemy.

he sort of just stares at the furniture laying where the monsters' bodies had just faded away, and eventually puts his fans away. he should really stop being surprised by this shit. and at least it was a productive battle, right? nice to know his spells actually do something, at least.]

[Well, N wastes only a moment more staring at where the monsters were before. He pulls out the colorfully decorated egg, looking happy.]

We have only seven more to find.
