SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

Right. [ He bites his lip, uncertain about that, but stands his ground. She doesn't seem like the batshit crazy time. ]

Sounds good. [ OH HEY introductions, sweet. ]

...I'm Neku. [ He cracks the smallest of smiles and nods with DETERMINATION. If this place wanted him to find pastel eggs, well damn it, he'd FIND THOSE PASTEL EGGS. ]

[Mia nods in response, and begins to search again, occasionally stopping to glance at Neku.]

[Eventually, and provided she and Neku are sticking together, they find their way across the bridge and into the building housing the Chaos Gate.]

...The hell is this place?

[Weyard, for better or worse, hadn't yet invented the fine art of swearing. However, she did understand that that was supposed to be a question.]

This is where I first woke up here...

[As she approaches the rotating device in the center of the room, suddenly there is a sound akin to a ringing cell phone coming from her bag.]

[ Neku, who had been so intent on staring at the room and all it contained, jumped a bit at the sound, having been caught off guard. You would have thought he'd be used to things catching him off guard but no, no he wasn't. And he doubted he ever would be. Call it a natural reflex. ]

Someone's calling you? [ Could that happen here? He didn't have his phone from back home, and hadn't really messed with the devices here. A frown and he moved closer to inspect the rotating device. ]

[no, that couldn't be it. she can't hear anyone's voice! But she pulls out the Relic and finds that the Warp menu is not only colored-in, now, but glowing.]

Huh, that didn't work before...

...oh, and that reminds me. Could you hold your Relic close to mine for a second?

[ Neku really isn't sure what's going on. When he hears the question, he quirks a brow, somewhat suspicious. His hand goes to retrieve his Relic, but he doesn't take it out. Not quite yet. ]

Why? What'll that do?

[In retrospect, Takeshi didn't explain it all that well.]

I think we have to in order to actually be a team. I'm not completely sure, but whatever these "Member Address" things are, nothing bad has come of them yet...

[ Neku still doesn't...quite get it. ]

Like a Player Pact or somethin' ? [ It's murmured more so to himself. He figures it's probably necessary for the eggs today, and he cautiously takes out the Relic, glancng it over. ]

Are you sure about this?

Yes.

[Hang on, did she hear the word "pact" in there?]

...I wouldn't exactly call it a pact, though.

[hedgephones]

Oh. [ Neku falters, frowning. ]

Then what exactly is it?

[mercuryangel]

I'm not quite sure... I think we can undo it later if it's absolutely necessary, but nothing bad has come of it yet...

[Trust your not-quite-partner-yet, Neku...]

[hedgephones]

'Yet'. [ Skeptical Neku is skeptical, but he keeps the Relic out, as instructed. ]
