SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

[ it was a lot more chaotic than turn based rpg she remembered, the enemies lunging at them. It didn't help that Viki was unused to having to think of what she had to do for herself. The monsters she had knocked back before were nearing them again and only N was a short range fighter.

...she should get rid of them, right? Another blast of the same spell, this time hitting all but the one closest to N. ] Uwa!

E-e-aa..aat-- [ someone is holding back a sneeze. ]

[he's seen full scale war, so this shouldn't have seemed so overwhelming with only three opponents, but it was way different actually being in the middle of it all. he swipes at one of the monsters when it gets a bit too close for comfort, and surprisingly it seems to actually be pretty effective, and then viki's blown it back again before it becomes an issue.

he hears her over the sounds of the fight, and casts her a concerned look over N's shoulder with the spare moment he has.]

What, did one of them get at you?

Yeah.

[He looks at himself - it was a decent cut on his arms. But it wasn't too different than the other scars he had.]

U-uuu -- [ she can do it, she won't sneeze!!! ]

A-aaa-- [ oh god, what if she teleports one of them away, or just herself away and leaves them there, or teleports more monsters to them. She won't-- ]

[ nothing out of the ordinary happens for a moment and then...

hey look at that, furniture raining down on their enemies. ] Oh, thank goodness.

[well. that's one way to defeat an enemy.

he sort of just stares at the furniture laying where the monsters' bodies had just faded away, and eventually puts his fans away. he should really stop being surprised by this shit. and at least it was a productive battle, right? nice to know his spells actually do something, at least.]

[Well, N wastes only a moment more staring at where the monsters were before. He pulls out the colorfully decorated egg, looking happy.]

We have only seven more to find.

[uwawa]

I helped, right? [ she looks between N and Saralegui...not unlike an animal seeking approval. Oh but she remembers something more important!

she turns to N. ]

O-oh...um... Please be more careful next time! W-what would I do if you were to be hurt?

Yes, you did well. [yeah, he made that connection fairly well for a person who's never cared for pets. viki is probably close enough anyway.]

...Sorry. I wanted to know them. What their dreams were... if they were like my friends from before.

[N looks a little lonely, for a moment, before shifting his attention and mood entirely. Live in the moment, just like the animals do.]

Let's move to another area. We'll see what we can find.

[uwawa]

W-wa... [ she can recognise loneliness if nothing else, it's all too common in war. ]

It's okay! Just be careful! [ she tiptoes to give him a little patpat. ]

Okay, I'll follow you!

[he arches an eyebrow, but decides not to push for the time being. he's supposed to be angry at N anyway.]

[N doesn't seem to react poorly to the patting on the back, at least! He awkwardly smiles, and goes on ahead, sword still drawn for precaution.

He'll lead them to the next spot, a couple bridges over, making wide arcs around the monsters to avoid any unnecessary fights. He stops, spying a little bit of color under a tree.]

I think that's...

[But then it moves??

It appears to be a lucky animal!]

[ she follows, staying close to both of them. ]

Eh? Is that a monster again? [ she looks worried between the two of them. wat do? D; ]

[he frowns at the things as N points it out, nodding slightly at viki's question.]

It could be, so let's not provoke it, alright? [N this is blantantly directed at you.]

...No, it's different. I'll go look.

[N, fearlessly and potentially stupidly walking right on up to it! Hello, little Fate Worm. It flips, and starts running around to avoid the strangers.]

Harmless!

...so...we recruit it? [ is that what you do with harmless animals? She looks at Saralegui to see if he knows what to do. ]

We leave it be. For all we know, it'll attack if we get too close.

[yes, it is a derpy little worm thing. but the most innocent looking things could be dangerous. just look at yuuri. or himself, even.]

Yes, yes, leave him alone. He's happy.

[Such a simple thing, so quickly, completely lifts N's spirits! He's got a much happier spring in his step as he keeps walking.]

Wonderful. This place... it's not perfect, but the elements and components are there. With the proper balancing and putting the components into the right formulas, this place may very well become perfect.

Oh, okay. [ she is... clearly somewhat confused by what N says. She looks around as if trying to see what he's talking about. ]

Wa! Is that a box over there? [ point point. things are in boxes, right? ]

"Perfect" is subjective.

[perfect would involve passage home, without all these stupid games. but no need to argue that right now. he turns his head in the direction viki points in, squinting.]

It looks like...a treasure chest?

I've only read about those in stories. Unless it's a child's toy chest, that is.

There were treasure chests where I come from! There were nice things in them!
