SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

I'll take them. [and then if they only manage to get enough for one person and he needs to ditch these two for whatever reason, at least he'll be taken care of first.] With any luck, everything will go smoothly and we won't have to worry about more monsters or anything.

Let's look just a bit longer in this area, before we go back to Mac Anu and find a new field to look in.

That will be easier! [ and anyways she's content to just go along with them. ]

Then let's go. As it is, we've only got two out of -- what was it, seven? Eight? Whatever the required number is. If we don't want to be out here for hours, we should probably get a move on.

We need to collect eight, so only six more to go. Let's go.

[N will head off towards the last little island, crossing the bridge to the isolated little body of land.]

shall we speed up the egg finding?

[ it takes her a moment to catch up again. really all this walking but she's trying not to teleport since Saralegui did say walking was nice. ]

Oh, what's that! [ at the other end of the bridge there appears to be a bright pink spot. ]

[oh don't mind him, he's just a little put-off by having been dropped on his ass by the whole teleportation things twice. he'll get used to it.]

Another egg, if we're lucky.

Good eyes. Let's go get it.

[And--hey! Along the way, N spots a blue egg in the sand.]

This seems like a much better place to look.

[ she flails. two? WHICH DO WE GO FOR FIRST?]

If it's on the way, then let's just get it before we move on.

[god, not all that complicated. he holds out the basket impatiently, ready to move along already.]

I wouldn't mind N getting it, if no one else wants it!

[N heads for the further egg, since Viki seems to hesitate.]

it wouldn't be fun on Viki one of the dudes get it!

O-okay! [ tug tugs Saralegui towards the pink egg? ]

sara would like his to keep his dignity intact, thank you. N can have it :>

[rolling his eyes at their bizarre hesitations, he lets viki tug him along she she pleases.]

aww yeah

[solveforn]

[There's a sound of an explosion, from N's area. Perplexed, he looks at his hands frantically. No, no burn marks or anything. No egg yolk smeared anywhere.

But man, his hat itches strangely now...]

[uwawa]

Uwa? D-did you hear that? Is it an attack?

[lavenderglasses]

[he jumps a little at the sound, and glancing back over his shoulder to N with a soft curse under his breath, he quickly grabs their egg and tosses it in the basket before taking viki's hand and hurrying over to their party member's location.]

What happened?

[solveforn]

I'm not hurt.

[First and foremost, since even he can tell how startling that'd have been. He goes to take off his hat and... feels a strange tug!]

...? Is there something on my head?

[Sure enough, a pair of green rabbit ears!]

[uwawa]

W-wa, you have um. [ she lifts her hands to her head and makes little floppy bunny ear motions. ]

Um, you have four ears!

[lavenderglasses]

[it's a good thing viki was able to alert you to the situation, because saralegui is gone. when first catching sight of the things on N's head, he politely tries to stifle his laughter, but that lasted for all of five seconds and now he can barely breathe for his laughing, half bent over and a hand thrown over his mouth in a poor attempt to keep it somewhat quiet.]

[Wow dude what is so funny. N walks over to the shore, trying to see his reflection. To no avail, mostly, but he's feeling the ears with his hands.]

Buneary ears...?

[He takes off his hat, at least. One ear folds over, though the other stands tall. One floppy ear.]

I've never had this happen before. I can't hear out of them...

UWA? YOU CAN'T HEAR ME? [ TRYING TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR HANDICAP ]

[oh my god viki you are not helping the hilarity of all this. just gonna crouch down right here and hunch over, hands covering his face and shoulders shaking with laughter.]

[What the heck - it's so loud! N's not used to being laughed at - he just looks embarrassed and ashamed.]

I can hear! I just - I don't understand...

[ oh no, she did something wrong. she is quick to clasp one of his hands in hers to reassure him! ]
