SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

after a long moment he lowers his weapn and reaches up to his own head. Those bunny ears sure are soft. ]

[ Alarmed, because -- he has bunny ears?? ...But they don't seem to be able to feel. Lu Xun tries to remove them. ]

[ he gives his a good hard tug. ]

...indeed. [ he isn't even sure what the appropriate reaction would be. ]

Could this be the surprise the request spoke of...?

[ Please say we haven't crossed a deity and that deity didn't decide to turn us into half-rabbits. ]

[dragonsjaw]

I would assume so unless this is a curse... [ he gives it another pull. ]

Do you feel well otherwise, Master Lu?

[ Considering this seriously! ] ...I feel no different. [ Other than the ears. ] What of you, Master Jiang?

[dragonsjaw]

The same for myself. [ other than the fact that it makes him feel a bit ridiculous. ]

[firetrap]

[ ...looking on the bright side! ] At the very least, it seems we have not angered the land deity.

[dragonsjaw]

If this is the punishment it would be a strange deity. [ he has never heard of any deity turning someone into half rabbits. ]

As long as we are unharmed...I suppose we should proceed. [ hopefully by doing so they don't become full rabbits. ]

[firetrap]

[ He nods. ] Let us go, then. [ Lu Xun will lead the way again, keeping an eye out! After a while of pretty scenery, there is another chest up ahead, once again guarded by creatures. ]

Shall we proceed in the same manner as before?

[dragonsjaw]

[ You look weird, Lu Xun. But he follows anyways.

He nods in agreement and they proceed smoothly. This time when one of the creatures begin to chant they're prepared, closing in before it has a chance to attack. ]

I believe I'm beginning to adjust to the combat of this place.

[firetrap]

[ The sight of Jiang Wei fighting magnificently was only just slightly dimmed by the new ears. ]

Yes! The use of sorcery aside, these creatures fight rather predictably. [ 'It feels almost too easy' he wants to say but does not as he approaches the chest... If Jiang Wei wants to, he can poke it again. ]

[dragonsjaw]

It is almost as if they move in a predetermined course.

[ he does. Might as well, just in case. ]

I wonder if the same is true of the other areas and the other creatures that inhabit this land.

[ Another egg and fragment get! ] Four more and one left... Shall we retrace our footsteps and head in the other direction?

[dragonsjaw]

In time we will see I suppose. [ awesome, he is kind of hoping the bunny ears will get rid of themselves once they complete the request. ]

[ Walking! The distances between group of creatures are short, shorter than the distances between bases and outposts.

A large building eventually comes into sight, on the other end of the bridge. Lu Xun is looking at it in awe. ] That must be the temple.

[dragonsjaw]

You mean the one mentioned before entering this field, you saw that as well Master Lu? [ he'd almost forgotten about it. it didn't exactly make sense until he got here and began searching with Lu Xun. ]

Still we are missing one fragment but at least we will know where to return to once we find it.

[firetrap]

Yes. [ He nods to both statements and wonders who or what is waiting inside the temple. Lu Xun then continues to walk, marvelling at the scenery around them.

Two sets of enemies and two different chests come into sight to their left and right. Upon seeing them, Lu Xun comes to a stop. ]

[dragonsjaw]

[ Well now...they could divide and conquer but would that be a good idea given their lack of familiarity with this world still? The monsters are quite predictable so he finds it unlikely that they'll have any real trouble but still... ]

What are you thinking, Master Lu?

[firetrap]

[ There's something he's curious about, actually! Will the creatures come to each other's aid? ...Not now, though. ] If we could only trick them into fighting each other, it would make things easier for us... What do you think, Master Jiang?

[ So not testing the waters, nope. ]

[dragonsjaw]

It's an interesting possibility. [ He observes the creatures for a moment more. ]

They seem to limit themself to a certain area, perhaps they are territorial. But if they are controlled by an outside source then that may not work.

[firetrap]

[ Lu Xun nods. ] There is something I wish to test out, Master Jiang. If we engaged one group of these creatures, will the other group come to their aid?

The enemies we have faced to now have shown no signs of requesting backups or even the intention to inform other groups of our presence. [ Though they would definitely have taken such a messenger out. ] Will you help me with this?

[dragonsjaw]

I see, such information could be beneficial in the future. You may count on my support, Master Lu.

Then let us flank and surprise the enemies on the left first. I believe our skills will prove to be more than enough to defeat all of them, should the group on the right come for us.
