SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

[he should be used to this by now. at least he has more experience with this than N. but no, he just looks around the field when he first notices the sound, and fails to recognize the situation until he is once more on the ground, a double-black girl on top of him.

[Oh dear. N is clearly not prepared for this either, offering no resistance as he's bowled over by the two colliding forms. There's a confused yelp, but not much else.]

Oh...I sneezed again... [ it takes her a moment to notice the two men that softened her landing, not too long thankfully. ]

W-wa-wa! I'm sorry! [ she clumsily climbs off them, straightening herself and peering at them worriedly-- oh hey, you guys look familiar. ] Huh, did I got back in time?

[he looks up from the mercifully soft grass, already recognizing that voice, and -- yep, hi there viki. he just groans, rolling over and sitting up before recollecting his weapons, dropped in the fall.]

Hello again.

[N sits up, and... laughs. Viki was perhaps the strangest behaving person he'd ever met, but her earnest behavior was pretty unmistakable. It reminds him of a recklessly playful Pokemon.]

Neither of you are hurt, are you?

[uwawa]

H-huh? [ she looks around in confusion when N starts laughing but... settles for a little smile in the end. If he's laughing that's good right. ]

I'm fine, wa! Um... I didn't hurt anyone, did I? Is anything missing?So I'm still in the same place...?

[glad to see you both find this entertaining. he just rolls his eyes as he stands, ducking his head to hide the gesture and keeping his tone at least joking, if he couldn't manage lighthearted.]

No, no, nothing is hurt but my dignity.

[Ah, dignity. N dismisses Saralegui's teasing.]

We're looking for the eggs. Do you want to help? Since I don't think any of us want to go without food.

[Blink, blink? Eggs? It looks like someone totally didn't know there was a quest going on. She looks around again as if to-- well, who really knows what Viki's doing. ]

Me? He means me? [ she spins back, looking quite excited. ]

W-wa! I'll definitely help! And then we can eat eggs together~?

I don't think the eggs are edible. It seems to be part of a celebration of some sort... [he shrugs, before going back to straightening his clothes and tucking his hair back, stupid little movements to keep himself busy and feel presentable despite everything.] I don't understand the reasons for it, but the prize included a basket of food.

It's a game. My friends and I would play games like this all the time. Though we were usually looking for wild berries to eat.

[It's a strange combination, with N, as he talks so fondly about being out in nature and with animals while all the same looking and especially sounding very refined and civilized.]

We don't have a very good sense of smell, but hopefully we can find it by looking.

[uwawa]

[ she considers this for a moment. ] Oh, okay! I'll help then~! [ conclusion has not changed, it's nice to be simple. ]

[if only all of us were so simple.]

Three sets of eyes should be more efficient, at least. With any luck, we can finish this quickly and be done with it.

We may have to battle.

[He stands up, picking his sword back up off of the ground.]

If I can't speak with the creatures in this field... we'll probably end up fighting.

[uwawa]

Battle? O-oh! [ understanding! Well, it's not really new to her. ]

I'll do my best! If things get dangerous I can teleport us away!

...I'll just keep an eye out for the eggs. [what else is he supposed to contribute here? he can swing a sword decently enough, but he could hardly ever be called a fighter, and he's no idea what he's supposed to do with these fans or what N meant by "special attacks". his eyes won't work on anything with less than human intelligence either, so he's no use that way either.

[N pauses for a moment, taking out his relic and flipping through the options.]

Check under the "Skill" menu. You may be able to use something under that list.

Eh...eh? Menu? Skill....uwaaa...isn't that something that I shouldn't touch?

Here, this. [he holds out his relic for viki to see as he goes to the tab labled "skills", and what do you know, there are a pair of skills listed there.

he doesn't understand the skill names themselves, as they seem to be another language or some shit because what is he supposed to make of "dek corv". but when he hovers over the skills, an explanation he can actually understand shows up along the bottom of the screen. mostly understand, anyway. there are still plenty of phrases in there he doesn't understand the meaning of, but he can read the words at least. it all looks pretty interesting, though.]

What does "P. Atk." mean?

"ATK" usually is an abbreviation of the word "attack". P... psychic? We might have to see what it is in a battle.

[Another one of N's strange smiles, and overly dramatic hand gestures.]

"Through battle, we discover not only the truth about each other, but the truth about ourselves". But maybe our ideal selves are not to be found through combat. Truths, and ideals... no matter what world it is, those are two great constants.

[uwawa]

[ she takes a step back when the relic is offered to her, holding her hands up helplessly. ] Um, um but if I touch that I might break it! I'm clumsy!

[ she has not yet quite realised she has one as well. ] H-huh? The truth about...? [ confused but...that way of speaking makes her think of-- ah, nevermind she can't remember. ]

Try yours. It should information relevant to you, shouldn't it? That would be more useful to you than mine would, at least.

[meanwhile, he mulls over the possible meanings of the phrases listed. the first skill claims to lower a target's "p. atk.", so if it was a psychic thing then wouldn't that mean the target in question had to have a psychic ability to be...weakened? assuming that's what is meant by "lowers", at least. perhaps "physical", then...?]

Let's go. We'll stick together, in case we get into a fight.

[N has no problems taking the lead, already decidedly heading towards one of the hills to either find one up there or see if he can spot one from high ground.]

I have one too? [ she trips up a bit the first step forward but otherwise falls into step behind N. She's definitely a follower by nature and she's more suited to be in the back row anyways. ]

O-oh, don't worry, I've fought before.

Check your pack. It should be there. [he falls into step beside viki, half out of courtesy and half out of spite. he still wasn't exactly thrilled with N after all, and it wasn't polite to leave a lady unaccompanied, even if just by a few feet.]
