SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

[he shrugs again and returns to walking, his easy smile back in place and his eyes drifting shut.]

Perhaps. The last thing I remember before waking up here was my death, so I can't say for sure how things are right now. But I have faith that everything will work out. [because it's shinji. and because he died so he could give shinji this chance, so he can't do anything but hope right now.]

[inhearts]

[ 'Died', huh? Minako hesitates for a moment before she steps in line with him, nodding. ] I believe in it too! Humans may be weak and we may cry and and we may run away, but I believe that we can do anything if we put our minds to it! [ She looks at him, cracking a smile. ] Even if it's something like fighting an unbeatable goddess.

[he glances over to her and nods approvingly.]

Mm. But you're rather strong, aren't you? I take it that you're fighting an unbeatable goddess, then?

[inhearts]

Mmm, my friends and I were before I came to be here. [ Minako looks up, where the sky and moon aren't green and will never be green.

Then she looks back down, grinning again. ] Undefeatable, or so we were told. We won't know for sure until we try, right?

Gods aren't actually all that all-powerful, in my experience. Especially not when facing man.

[he opens his mouth like he's about to continue, but he suddenly stops, catching minako's shoulder to halt her before she could step on the pastel egg nestled in the clump of grass below her foot.]

[inhearts]

Did-- [ She stops! ] --Huh?

[diedforyoursins]

[he bends down to retrieve the egg in question, and holds it up for her to see with a grin before dropping it into their basket.]

Two down. Now, you were saying?

[inhearts]

Oh! [ Oops... ] You have good eyes, Kaworu-kun! Six more to go~!

Ah-- [ ...wait, what was her question again? Right. ] -- did you fight the Angels too?

[diedforyoursins]

[he turns his gaze on his again, expression blank for a moment while he just eyes her carefully.

this place is completely disconnected from home. he doesn't have to play spy, or guard these secrets with his now void life. and he's curious, too, so after a few moments he just smiles again, shaking his head.]

Oh, no. I was the last of the Angels.

[ ...yeah, hold on, this is right up there with Amaterasu admitting she was the Amaterasu. ]

[inhearts]

[ But Minako recovers quick, because she's realised something. She can't keep the gentleness or a sense of fondness out of her voice, because he reminds her so much of him. ] ...I see. You love humanity, right, Kaworu-kun?

[diedforyoursins]

[the corner of his mouth quirks up a little at that, and there's the tiniest hint of relief -- if she had reacted badly, it might have been interesting, but there was something sad about the thought as well. perhaps that was part of being human, wanting people to accept you? it certainly would explain a lot about shinji and the others.]

I do. Enough to die for.

[inhearts]

...Even if I'm not a human from Kaworu-kun's world, it's okay for me to say that, right? [ This is a serious question :T ]

[diedforyoursins]

[his expression softens slightly, and he nods.]

It is, and I appreciate it. But to be honest, it's not as if I'm just absolutely selfless or anything. If I had not met certain people, had not been shown the potential and the beauty of the Lilin through them, I might have simply initiated Third Impact as I was meant to.

[inhearts]

I'm sure it's the same for everyone, whether human, animal or something else entirely... What we will do or end up doing is because of how we've lived our lives and all the people we've met along the way.

[ She pauses for a bit. ] It's the same for me too. If my life didn't happen the way it did, I wouldn't be the me I am today.

[diedforyoursins]

Would you change anything, if you could, if it meant you wouldn't have to be the one to fight a god?

[inhearts]

I chooseth this fate of mine own free will. [ She probably sounds like she's reciting something, but she means every single word. ]

[diedforyoursins]

Your world is lucky to have you, then.

[inhearts]

I think your world is lucky, too.

[ Glancing ahead, Minako notices a group of creatures blocking the bridge. She can't help the grin that grows on her face, at being able to move/fight. ] Ready to take them on?

[diedforyoursins]

[he looks up to follow her gaze, and a smirks spread across his face while he rolls his shoulders back and draws his sword.]

We'll have to in order to keep moving forward, won't we? [and before the monsters can notice them, he darts forward to attack.]

[inhearts]

[ She delays a moment, drawing her fans out, waiting until Kaworu surprises them and casts a Dek Corv at the creature she thinks will be the last targeted -- too bad she couldn't lower their defense yet, but the skill was probably something she'd learn sooner or later--

And then she runs in, her fans ready to attack. ]

[luckily it's a first level area with appropriately weak enemies, so the first one goes down after several slashes. he leaves the second to his teammate, turning to the last just as it takes a swipe at him.

aaaaand that barely even did anything. thank god for debuffs.]

[inhearts]

[ Though she still prefers her naginata, she's got used to her fans. Though they don't cut as deep or attack as strong, the fans move more swiftly and she's able to take the second one down with relentless attacking. If she had known fans were this much fun to use, she would have tried using them long ago.

Minako turns just as she sees Kaworu being attacked. She'd make the right call, after all, but -- that monster is going down. She doesn't have to think as she runs closer and starts attacking it. ]

[diedforyoursins]

[it wasn't nearly enough damage to disable him, especially after minako lowered its strength, so once she's pulled its attention he joins in the attack from the other side. between the two of them, it goes down in a few seconds.

there, nothing too hard about that, right?]
