SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

[But the bunny ears make him look ridiculous. He had been feeling something all day, which was odd in and of itself, and had decided to play along with this whole festival thing in the hopes that it would allow him to observe reactions to the situation that even he had been thrust into... this place had never existed, according to the Records.]

[Roy, meanwhile, had settled into the usual pattern of adventurer's everywhere -- looting the corpses! Searching a goblin, he frowns as he stands up with an egg.]

I can't even imagine why a goblin had this to begin with. Are they eligible for the contest too?

[He raises his eyebrow at an obviously hostile non-human enemy dropping something that isn't Macca. That's never happened before.]

[He's very good at watching. And/or standing very close by in an only barely visible way.]

By the way... [Roy tucks his egg away.]

I may not have the best untrained Spot checks, but I just made a pretty good one.

[He appears from thin air, as if nothing was wrong, seeing no point in continuing to conceal himself.]

[His smile and narrow eyes make him look extremely suspicious, but of course he has bunny ears now so it doesn't have quite the effect it usually would. way to make a first impression]

[He begins... almost floating away; his feet are barely touching the ground. And in the basket at his side, a single egg can be seen...]

Oh, hey! Wait! Is that one of this area's eggs?

...ah... well, it is an egg, and it was found not far from here at all...

...yes, that it is. Why do you ask this of me?

We could team up to find the rest of them and complete the quest.

You wish for me to accompany you?

Very well then.

I'd like to complete it, and I don't want to have to fight anyone over the eggs, so it'd be better if we team up for it.

Let's see here. [Roy fumbles for a moment with his pouch before drawing out his relic]

[The man responds in kind, with little actual change in his expression. The address is listed as "Al Saiduq".]

All right. Seen any other ones? Or likely places for them? We have two between us, that leaves... five more?

Yes.

[Although the situation does interestingly parallel his own history.]

[He'll assume that was a 'yes, five more' and not a 'yes, I saw others'. Because his sanity likely can't handle dragging the information out of someone inclined to answer in the latter way.]

I found this one on a goblin, where did you find that one?

It was simply there, ready to be claimed.

[well, it was sort of both, but the less information he needs to give...]

Any distinguishing markings or signs of its presence around it? Was it concealed or obvious?

[...the more Roy will ask for!]

[He puts his left hand to his head, as if he needs to recall...]

It was in plain sight.

[He stands motionless. You're calling the shots here~]

Okay then. Let's separate, but stay within each other's sights, and look for any more obvious eggs. If you get attacked by anything, yell and I'll come help. I'd prefer to find as many eggs as we can before killing or negotiating with anything to get them, but we won't hesitate to defend ourselves.

[At this point he stops just-barely-not-floating and actually hovers just off the ground, following Roy's instructions to stay within sight.]

[ooc: For some reason I remember Macabre Dancers being able to hover. Or maybe that was just Yata's adminhax. And if they can't Al Saiduq hovers in canon so what now]

[Roy's used to people flying -- mostly Vaarsuvius, but new world, new characters. He spares this mode of locomotion just a brief glance before determinedly setting off to investigate some bushes that look likely.]

[It takes a few minutes, during which Saiduq manages to secure another egg, but eventually an odd blue glow can be seen in the distance.]

[He holds up the egg triumphantly for Saiduq to see, as he looks around for his erstwhile party member.] How's it on your end?
