SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

Yes! I have never seen such a mechanism. I had wondered if it was an invention of Shu's.

Shu? [ It makes him think of Lady Huang briefly, she would be able to appreciate such things even more. ]

It would certainly be useful but I doubt even the most skilled engineers would be able to replicate this device.

The Kingdom of Shu is well known for their inventors and inventions. [ He's mistaken that question, probably. But can you hear the deep admiration in his voice and see it in his eyes? ]

If it could be made, reports could be delivered without the use of avian or human messengers and...

Indeed... [ even if the greatest of them has already passed on. he does note the admiration though...it makes him proud. he smiles a bit wistfully. ]

Master Lu? [ it puzzles him what that apology is for. ]

There is no need for that.

My thoughts had turn to how such a device would aid in warfare, even as the Three Kingdoms co-exist in harmony.

[ And Lord Lu had told him often to relax! A hard advice to keep in mind. ]

[ wait, wait. this is...definitely news. ]

Harmony you say...perhaps Master Lu comes from a more fortunate world than that which I recall. [ last he remembers he was well on his way to developing an ulcer planning to strike against Wei-- or rather the Sima clan's forces in the north. ]

[ That reaction is interesting! Curiously, ] Was that not the case? May I ask what it is that Master Jiang recalls?

[dragonsjaw]

[ he hesitates for a moment, but he has to answer. It helps that Lu Xun doesn't seem to bear any hostility towards his kingdom. ]

It has been some time since the last armed conflict but I cannot say that the Three Kingdoms exist in harmony... The forces of Shu have been withdrawn from Hanzhong but certainly not due to any sort of agreement with Wei. [ he manages to keep it mostly neutral the way he explains the situation but-- there is a hint of definite regret and sadness.

If it was Prime Minister he would never have done such a thing. ]

Hanzong was attacked not long ago and Lord Fei Wenwei led our troops to defend the city. While battles have primarily been waged on the defensive we are certainly far from the land of peace and benevolence that our great predecessors dreamed of.

[ Lu Xun stares for a bit, trying to take it in. It was no conflict that he had heard or read of and he couldn't imagine Shu or Wei hiding anything from his country. Peace would not last. He knew this, but he had hoped... ]

I see. I had not heard of this. I did not think Lord Cao would -- If I had known... [ But, no, he could do nothing about regrets. ] All the more we must find a way back in order to set things right.

[dragonsjaw]

...indeed. [ he doesn't say more, isn't sure what more to say but there's no denying his own drive to return to his land. ]

The sooner we make sense of this world the sooner we will be able to find a solution certainly.

[firetrap]

Then let us set forth to accomplish this task that we have been given, so that we may return to the place we truly belong!

[dragonsjaw]

Yes, let us continue. [ he pauses though, as if recalling instructions he doesn't quite understand.

Ah, Master Lu...perhaps we should form a party. [ he holds up his Relic. ]

A party?

[ Was Master Jiang suggesting a banquet? A toast of wine? ]

[ yeah, that's what he thought at first too. He holds out the Relic and taps a few... things. ]

Apparently it is necessary for us to-- [ tap, tap. ]

Use these devices to properly join our forces. [ a simplified, wine free, banquet? ]

How strange...

[ He holds up his own Relic to study it -- they're close enough so the Relics beeps, exchanging member information. Absolutely clueless to that, Lu Xun glances over it curiously, wondering why it made a sound. ]

[dragonsjaw]

I don't really understand it either. [ confession :< he totally doesn't get why they can't just. fight side by side. ]

I believe...ah, send party invitation... I believe that should do it. [ but he's not sure. ]

[firetrap]

Ah!

[ He has a new message. Request. Something. Lu Xun reads it, and then accepts it. He's also half expecting a banquet of some kind to pop up. OH HEY HE CAN SEE YOUR STATS B) ]

I see! This makes us official allies now.

[dragonsjaw]

[ cracks a smile. ]

A rather strange way to establish an alliance.

Complicated, certainly. [ He looks back at the map and notes the new dot on it! This machine is getting more interesting by the moment...

Oh, right. Lu Xun looks back to Jiang Wei, smiling. ] Shall we continue, Master Jiang?

[dragonsjaw]

I will follow your lead.

[firetrap]

[ Lu Xun will lead, following the map. He's also on the lookout for eggs and they're quite easy to spot, bright as they come. This particular one is hiding under a tree. ] Ah, another one!

[ Approaching it! ]

[ he approaches as well, keeping an eye out for any enemies that may try to sneak attack them. ]
