SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

[and he's off again, clearly ready to be done with all of this as soon as possible. also clearly not so concerned about that whole "sticking close together" thing as he should be, but to be fair, he's used to having a bodyguard unquestionably following him everywhere.]

[N doesn't mind the role of leader swapping, and follows, keeping step with Viki.

Though he was severely lacking in his familiar friends, and was quite out of his comfort zone, he was slowly feeling a bit more optimistic.]

What sort of "creatures" do you two know in your world?

Creatures? Um, like animals? [ she is guessing since he wanted to talk to the monsters. ]

Wa, I guess it would make sense, he likes animals!

[ it appears she has a little bit of difficulty thinking too hard and walking at the same time though, she lags behind a little as she considers that before noticing and running teleporting back next to N to stay close. ] Um, there was Byakuren and Gennoh...and um Bright and Ruby...Fubar um...do kobolds and nay-kobolds count? Mermaids... um. The beavers too...

They're just like people though! [ mostly. ]

[he glances over his shoulder at the other two, pondering the question, but he just shrugs. nothing viki mentions sounds familiar, and maybe that's just because she's kind of weird, but nothing N talked to him about the other day made much sense either so maybe it's to be expected.]

There's nothing really abnormal where I come from -- then again, I suppose none of it would seem abnormal to me, having lived there. Horses and cats and sandbears and bearbees and such. [a pause, and he adds:] I've never seen one myself, but I know there are dragons living out in the demon lands somewhere.

I'd love to hear more about them, sometime. Did you make friends with any of them?

[uwawa]

Bright is a dragon! [ she says this fondly afterall she met Bright and Futch more than once and that's always special. ]

Prince made friends with everyone, wa! It was their destiny!

[he shifts a little uncomfortably, displeased with how enthusiastic the two were about this. it was one thing to have differing opinions when with just one other person, but being outnumbered made it awkward. sure, he had a number of unpopular opinions back home, but he was a king there, and there were few that would speak out against him.

he just shrugs, careful to keep his tone casual so that it could be passed over easily enough.]

I never really wanted any pets, so no.

Befriending a creature is more than owning it as a possession. They are no different from humans.

[But before N can go on about it, he seems to spot a blip of pastel.]

There! I see one!

[uwawa]

Uwaaa, you're right! [ about the egg, and the creatures but mostly the egg.

She catches up to Saralegui and kind of considers for a moment. She holds out her hand to mimic how he'd offered his the first time! ]

Let's go together this time!

[he's grateful for the distraction that the egg's appearance causes, even if he's usually not fond of anything that takes the attention away from him. this place seems good at making him feel more awkward than usual, though.

when viki offers her hand, he stares at it for a moment before adopting a smile and nodding.]

Of course. [and he takes her hand delicately, then glances over to N with a smirk and arches an eyebrow, half-extending a hand in his direction.] Did you want to join in on this as well? [jokingly, of course.]

[Holding hands! A human thing. N stares a bit, gauging it, before tentatively reaching out and touching, looking perplexed. What a strange thing to do! But it does make some sense, humans have such particularly detailed and biologically fascinating bone structure in them - perhaps one of the human body's most prized developments. It'd make logical sense for the species to use communication with such elaborate body parts.

It's a bit hard to say what exactly N is thinking, but it's clear that holding onto Sara's hand is met more with an inquisitive and calculating gaze than any sort of emotional one, even if the grasp is warm and almost searching.]

Hmm... strange...

[uwawa]

[ silence for a moment and then there is a very happy laugh from Viki, she is tempted to join hands with N as well and make a circle but not right now. ]

Uwa-wa-wa! Maybe we can have a unite attack~

Oh um, should I teleport? [ she remembered to ask this time! ]

[his smirk falters slightly when N actually touches his hand, but he repairs it quickly enough and rolls his eyes, gently untangling his fingers and pulling his arm back.]

I was just joking. [and he turns back to viki, tugging her forward slightly with his other hand, effectively turning his back on N.] No, walking like this is nice occasionally. And if we landing too close to the egg, we might break it.

[it might be petty, but he gets at least a little satisfaction in throwing the other day's situation right back in N's face. revenge is sweet, and he wasn't above taking it.]

[If the revenge was meant to inspire confusion, then it was successful, because that's about all it did to N. He follows, looking at his hand for a moment before brushing it off. Human interactions are strange...]

[ keep looking N because Viki is going to take his hand in her free one. SHE IS NOT GIVING UP HER... link of whatever. ]

Okay~ We'll walk together!

[viki stop ruining his vengeance strategies. rude. he will keep up with the pace, but looks distinctly less happy about it.]

[Oh, hand-holding again. Well, he did want to learn how to read human behavior, so...]

[ whether or not Viki counts as "human behaviour" is a bit debatable but that's all good. ]

[hey, don't look at him guys, he's only half human himself.]

[What a special little trio these guys are, huh.

Hand-in-hand is a strange way to walk - it feels so oddly restrictive, even if he can see the means of communication with the touch - but he'll continue to hold Viki's hand even as he picks up the egg with his free one, not knowing if he should let go and deciding to wait until he's told.]

Should we use one person's basket, or try to fill all three?

Let's just fill one for now. If it counts for all of us, then we can just leave it at thy. And if not, we'll go back out to fill the other two.

That sounds good. Do you want to carry them, Saralegui? It might be wiser, if we get into another fight.

[uwawa]

Eh? But you don't want to fight, right? [ this is directed at N. Considering how he tried to talk to the animals. ]

I'll take them. [and then if they only manage to get enough for one person and he needs to ditch these two for whatever reason, at least he'll be taken care of first.] With any luck, everything will go smoothly and we won't have to worry about more monsters or anything.
