SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

[ You'll see this becoming a theme, Kain unfortunately decked out for the holiday in question while being rather sour about it. He's at his usual spot behind the Quest Kiosk, in his usual blue garb. The only difference is the silver bunny ears perching on his head, one straight with a bent tip and the other rather floppy.

The fluffy tail sticking out the back of the chair was not helping matters any. There's a basket filled with pastel paper easter grass and filled to burst with silver and bronze eggs, intricately designed with pipes, rivets and gears.

The Relics around town chirped, steamed, and vibrated, with the message already on-screen.

HAPPY EASTER （＊´∀｀＊ｂ）━━！！！！ There's eight eggs to be found in every area and dungeon today, so grab a basket by the Chaos Gate and find them all! One has a surprise for you, so bring the other seven to the Quest Kiosk for your final prize!

There's a sign beside the stacks of empty easter baskets detailing the objective a little further, stating that eggs in dungeons will be found no lower than the second floor, and that there's a prize for participating as well.

In the meantime, Kain is kicked back and playing a game on his Relic. ]



( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

[He laughs enthusiastically as he sets off again.]

... Oh, here we go! It's kind of lodged between rocks...

[Taiyou's yanking at it but it's not working; what a stubborn egg. But with one more heave he tumbles backwards. He sits up triumphant with the--Wait, it wasn't in his hands anymore what. Where did it go?]

[isolates]

[Yuuta watches as Taiyou pulls at the egg but then it disappears. Confused, he turns around to the other boy and is greeted with a strange sight.

Trying to stifle his laughter, Yuuta points at Taiyou's head.]

T-taiyou-nii...

[glassworkgenius]

[What's so funny? Taiyou follows Yuuta's gaze up to above his head which... had this soft fur near his hair? When did that get there? Then when it twitched after pinching it he felt that more than he expected.]

Yuuta-kun, what is... this?

[isolates]

[Sorry, Taiyou, but he can't hold in his laughter anymore. He doubles over, holding his stomach as he laughs.]

You-- you have bunny ears!

[glassworkgenius]

Eh?

[He holds the end of his right rabbit ear and slowly pulls it down to eye level. He stares for a few seconds. ... He... really does have rabbit ears.

Taiyou shifts his blank stare from the ear to Yuuta, and...

.

starts laughing with him.]

[isolates]

[Tries to talk through his laughter.]

I wonder if this is part of the quest.

[glassworkgenius]

...! I think I know what this is-- It's the surprise!

[isolates]

Oh, yeah! [It definitely was a surprise.] I guess this means we only have to look for three more eggs!

[glassworkgenius]

Yeah, okay, let's keep moving. [Taiyou dusts himself off from his tumble earlier, and is now casually trying to get the ears off to no avail while he walks. Stubborn things!]

[isolates]

[Yuuta leads the way because he's sure if he didn't, he'd constantly laugh at the sight of Taiyou. Although he had to admit they were kind of cute.

It doesn't take long before he notices something else hiding among the rocks.]

Taiyou-nii, I think I found another one!

[Without waiting for a response, he runs over toward it.]

Good job Yuuta-kun! Two more to go.

Hey, be careful you don't trip!

[isolates]

[Yuuta just shrugs off the warning and waves a hand to tell Taiyou that he'll be okay. He's pretty confident in himself and doesn't think he's clumsy enough to trip.

In fact he does make it to where the egg is without much trouble. He chuckles as he picks it up.]

Heheh, in the basket you go.

[glassworkgenius]

Oh, here's another. [Taiyou bends down to pick the one he's noticed up, and notices the tip of his bunny ears flop down some distance in front of his face too--He's trying not to mind them, but it's kind of embarrassing when there's something on your head and you don't know how you look.]

One left~

[isolates]

Awesome! [He jumps up, ready to finish their search so they can go back to and show Kain their collection.] They didn't hide these really well, did they.

[glassworkgenius]

Well, we don't know how many places they scattered with these. Maybe they got lazy.

[isolates]

Probably, but that's better for us then!

[glassworkgenius]

We're almost done! Let's hurry so we can claim those prizes, Yuuta-kun.

[isolates]

Okay! [Yuuta pumps one fist into the air before jogging down the dungeon again in search of the last egg. It doesn't take long to find but it's lodged inside a crack in the dungeon wall and is definitely too high for a boy like him to reach!

He puts his hands on his hips and frowns up at it in disappointment.]

So much for being easy.

[glassworkgenius]

[Taiyou goes on the tips of his toes and stretches out his arm, but after a few attempts, he realizes it's too high even for him. He pauses, and presses his thumb against his lips while in thought.]

... I think I have an idea.

[He turns from Yuuta and bends his knees. It looks like he wants to carry Yuuta on his back.]

[isolates]

Oh! Good idea.

[Yuuta wastes no time at all to clamber onto Taiyou's back.]

[glassworkgenius]

Aaand hup.

[With that, Taiyou carefully unbent his knees to elevate Yuuta.]

[isolates]

[With the added height, Yuuta's able to reach the egg. He holds it carefully so that he won't crush it but not lightly enough that he'll drop it.]

Okay, I got it!
