[ooc: There will be separate threads for the dungeon crawling and the boss fighting. The Boss does respawn after a while, so this isn't some 'One Sin' one time exclusive kill. Winning this will net you some fantastic booty and a rare armor that periodically allows the player to counter with a confusion attack.]

1) Event extended because Life hates your mods. 8'( Sorry this came up so late, folks.

2) All right! There are all sorts of fishes, but the fishes you'll be catching are of the monster variety. The dropped item will be a normal fish (re; salmon, halibut, tilapia, etc)! There are complimentary summer/beach costumes for all who participate and... quirky(?) fishbone/seafood themed weapons for everyone who catches a fish.

And before anyone asks, yes. Even that tiny little smelt can potentially net you a gigantic Broadsword]

SUMMARY: There's a rumor of an event going around from NPC to NPC. There seems to be quite the party over at Δ Sacred Love's Cassiopeia! Perhaps it'll be a good time to check things out?

For everyone participating in the raffle for a brand new steambike please leave a number between 1-100 in your subject header!

To sum up everything; simply participating will net you a new 'Summer Yukata' costume fitted to your character's color scheme and style. Minor prizes at the stalls include generic items and toys while major prizes can range from accessories to armor to weapons (provided you have the skill to best the odds). There will be FIREWORKS to ICly mark the end of the event so no worries about not knowing when this thing is over for the characters. Remembering; backtagging is a-okay! ]

SUMMARY: I joked about a bunch of horrified level 1-2 people staring at the level for the dungeon before going off and getting e-beers. I was encouraged. Also, I'm starting with prose just because that's how I roll with intro posts, but brackets are strongly encouraged if that's what makes your soul happy.

SUMMARY: The NPCs around town are spreading rumors of a dungeon chest that can't be opened. If you ask them nicely, they'll give you the area words Δ Choosing Superior Offerings. What you do or what you'll try from there is up to you!

The NPC in the dungeon is squat and fat, shadowed in heavy robes. They'll threaten and harangue anyone who comes to them, and summon undead goblins to fight you after a while. Once you've defeated all six, he warps off and leaves the way to a new chest unbarred-- a chest which now opens and has unremarkable items inside. The event itself is the important part, though, and the first of three ongoing events. )

quest two | tulip day

SUMMARY: Time to give Springtime one last hurrah with a quest!

(ooc | Apologies for the delay!! Please don't forget to tag your characters in when you post! The keywords in this quest aren't for player creation use either, so keep that in mind!

Now, for the quest low-down: only one player or one party can win this quest. The flowers are fragile, so don't use force when you pry the petals open for the puzzle pieces! Breaking the flowers will result in the puzzle piece crumbling, too. All the puzzle pieces can connect with the right piece, and you need four to complete the puzzle, and players will have to go through a lot of flowers to find the right combination (who said this was an easy quest?). Once assembled, the puzzle will reveal a picture of a tulip in a glass case, which is the item the player/party will find in the temple in the middle of the field area. Bring this back to Kain at Mac Anu, and the player/party will receive the prize. An announcement will be made once the tulip in the glass case is returned. It will then be displayed at the top of the Mac Anu fountain.

The winner(s) of the event will receive +1 level for this event, and a Never-Withering Crown of Flowers that when equipped, gives the player a 5% atk bonus against monsters with the earth element. Good luck and have fun!)

SUMMARY: To some it's May Day, to others it's the European tradition of Walpurgisnacht-- in The World, we have both for you! There's no dungeons to raid or items to collect this go around, just stop by for free food, bonfires, and maybe some reward items just for your time.

SUMMARY: Earth Day weekend isn't really a holiday, right...? But there's ten tons of recyclable garbage littered all over Mac Anu! Perhaps if you do your part and help clean the town there'll be another prize in it for you, huh? Hey, if nothing else, you have pointy sticks to stab garbage with-- take your stress out!

This is a bitty event, and the prize is a wee one-- as thanks for picking up the town and restoring it to a spic 'n span state, we'll ensure you get plenty, plenty of item drops to make up for it! Everyone will receive lvl.1 Simple Bracelets and Simple Necklaces modified with the item Dowsing Chain, which increases item drops by monsters 25%. They'll be titled "Search Bracelet" or "Search Necklace" and everyone can use them. )

RATING: PG for possible (and expected) swearing?
SUMMARY: It's the first Quest in The World, just in time for Easter! There's a message awaiting everyone on their Relics when they wake up, so hop to it!

( ooc | Please don't forget to tag your characters into the log when you've replied! Here's the low-down on prizes: one of the eggs, when picked up, will spontaneously combust and your character will have a Rabbit Hood item automatically equipped. You can't remove it for the rest of the week, and it will give the character unique bunny ears like Kain, in the character's hair color (but sometimes accidents happen and it may not match!).

Anyone who participates but doesn't collect all the eggs in one area will be auto-equipped with an equally-irremovable Rabbit Tail charm ONLY ONCE! There will be no item duplicates, and all of the eggs they gathered will disappear at the end of the Quest if not turned in for the prize. The Rabbit Tail charm will give them a perfectly round fluff tail to match their ears.

Finally, if you collect all seven (eight with the bunny ears), you'll win a basket filled with fresh hot food, some extra rations, and a number of healing items. More free grub on the house! )

SUMMARY: Perhaps it's an April Fool's joke-- surely Saint Patrick's Day has already passed. And yet clovers rain down and the fountains run green regardless. But it's a nice welcome to The World regardless, so enjoy it while it lasts!
