SUMMARY: Perhaps it's an April Fool's joke-- surely Saint Patrick's Day has already passed. And yet clovers rain down and the fountains run green regardless. But it's a nice welcome to The World regardless, so enjoy it while it lasts!


There's gold banners strung from rooftop to rooftop, catching the light of the eternally-setting sun and reflecting it every which way. The ground's already covered in a generous amount of fallen shamrocks, with no end in sight. They're in your hair, on your clothes, in your food-- everywhere!

The main fountain (as well as the smaller second fountain in the alchemy district) is running with fizzing green soda, glass mugs lined up along the edges invitingly. New characters will receive one of two items-- in the first half of the week, they'll be awarded a limited edition golden weapon to suit their class, adorned in emeralds. In the latter half (for later applicants), they'll receive a leprechaun hat. The size is entirely up to the player, so it can range from a cute, small hat a la lolita style, or a big floppy hat, or a dapper silk top hat.

Have a look around, meet others, and enjoy the Irish foods offered for free at NPC shops to go with the soda. All items earned are to stay!



There's even a young silver-haired GM dolled up in green silks at the quest kiosk available for questions, although he doesn't look particularly friendly. His body language says to Stay Away, despite his location right in the upper left corner of the town center.

[And none of this is surprising! Really, Neku, you're so predictable.]

Oh, I'm hurt, Neku-kun. You always assume the worst, and now you're dragging me into it. What if I really didn't have anything to do with this?

[He flips one of those tassels on his hat idly before straightening it altogether. So it hadn't been just him that had been brought here after all. That smirk quirks a bit wider. Somehow, he's starting to suspect this isn't quite a dream like he'd thought it to be.]

[ Gee, one can only wonder why. Neku looked away from Joshua to curiously look about the area again. Eventually, his gaze settled back on his 'friend'. ...Which also resulted in him reaching up into his own hair, still trying to pluck away the little shamrock pins and whatnots. ]

So you have no idea what's going on? No idea whatsoever? [ Skeptical... ]

Except that we seem to be in some sort of fantasy RPG setting, no. No idea.

[Your skepticism is cute, Neku. As far as the shamrocks go, he's given up on picking them off of himself - now, they're just flecks of green among white and bits of pink.]

Though, if I had to guess, I'd say you were the hero type.

'Hero'?

[ Neku rolled his eyes, thinking nothing of the sort. He sighed, figuring he might as well... try and get cleaned up. But - oh, there was probably another matter more important right now. ]

...Josh, what the hell are you wearing?

Hm?

[Joshua pauses, looking down at his clothing. The smirk brightens into a smile rather quickly, and he plays with the end of one tassel.]

I like it, personally. The fit could be a bit better, but beggars can't be choosers.

[hedgephones]

You look stranger than usual.

[ How did Joshua like that sort of getup? But then again, memories of the game and... okay, maybe he could see why he liked it. Weirdo. ]

I'm going to go find a towel or something --

[Hey, it's comfortable. And it looks relatively decent, fashion-wise. He's not complaining! Plus, he rather likes the color scheme.]

Mind if I tag along? After all, it's been a while~

Tag along? [ Neku seemed awfully caught off guard. He hadn't actually thought of Joshua not following him, considering he had always played leader to begin with. But when it was put out in the open. Huh. Old habits died hard. ]

Eh...knock yourself out. [ HE SUPPOSES... Just help him locate towels, ok? ]

[Oh, come on. It's just like old times, right? He would have tagged along regardless, though.

Oh, and don't mind him as he checks you out. He's not doing it for the reason you probably think he is.]

Hmm. They outfitted you with weapons.

[ Sure, Josh, Sure. ]

Yeah? [ Neku didn't seem too concerned with the swords, considering everything else. He was more concerned with getting back. The swords, he supposed, were just another oddity that he needed to get his mind around. It wasn't as perplexing as some of the other things. ]

What? You got gypped? [ He actually grinned, amused. ]

[If you think you're the only one concerned about that, Neku, then you're horribly mistaken. His cell phone is gone, he's involuntarily absconded from Shibuya... Yeah. He might look as amused as usual, but.]

Of course not.

[Aaaand motioning at the book.]

You're going to fight them with... literature?

[ Neku, just. Neku, no. Please understand your video game archetypes. ]

[... yes, Neku. Please do. Even Joshua is genre savvy about this sort of thing.]

Of course not. It appears to be a spellbook.

Spell book? [ Okay, you've caught his attention. He's staring curiously at the book and then to Joshua and oh. ]

So that explains your getup. [ A small laugh. ] Have you tried them out yet?

[leggierissimo]

[Good job making that connection! He's proud of you, really.]

Not yet. I'm still trying to make heads or tails of this place. Why, are you interested?

[hedgephones]

Duh. If you can use them, maybe one can send us back home.

[ Thanks, Josh, Thanks. But really, he was just trying to be an optimist here. Which is an awfully big surprise. ]

[... yes. Yes, it is. He's positively shocked.]

I somehow doubt that.

[hedgephones]

[ Neku gives him a flat look. ]

Have you bothered to try? [ He shakes his head and begins to walk that way, heading closer towards the heart of the city. ] Read through it and then tell me if you find anything useful.

I'm waiting for an explanation.

[ There's a definite flicker of anger in his eyes, and if he wasn't wearing this ridiculous armor in this ridiculous place he'd probably by trying to strangle you, Joshua. But instead he's curling his hands into small fists by his sides. ]

I gave you enough time to bring it up on your own. Now spill it. [ Before he loses his cool. Trust him, Josh. Staying this calm is realllllly difficult. ]

[... well gosh, Neku, when did you turn into a hormonal girl? These mood swings are pretty severe...]

An explanation? For what? This place? I've already told you I'm just as confused as you are.

[No, really, enlighten him here.]

[ He's shaking his head. One mood you can depend on not showing up for a good long while is happy. So deal with the various stages of irritation, anger, indifference, confusion, and whatever else he can muster up. ]
