SUMMARY: Perhaps it's an April Fool's joke-- surely Saint Patrick's Day has already passed. And yet clovers rain down and the fountains run green regardless. But it's a nice welcome to The World regardless, so enjoy it while it lasts!


There's gold banners strung from rooftop to rooftop, catching the light of the eternally-setting sun and reflecting it every which way. The ground's already covered in a generous amount of fallen shamrocks, with no end in sight. They're in your hair, on your clothes, in your food-- everywhere!

The main fountain (as well as the smaller second fountain in the alchemy district) is running with fizzing green soda, glass mugs lined up along the edges invitingly. New characters will receive one of two items-- in the first half of the week, they'll be awarded a limited edition golden weapon to suit their class, adorned in emeralds. In the latter half (for later applicants), they'll receive a leprechaun hat. The size is entirely up to the player, so it can range from a cute, small hat a la lolita style, or a big floppy hat, or a dapper silk top hat.

Have a look around, meet others, and enjoy the Irish foods offered for free at NPC shops to go with the soda. All items earned are to stay!



There's even a young silver-haired GM dolled up in green silks at the quest kiosk available for questions, although he doesn't look particularly friendly. His body language says to Stay Away, despite his location right in the upper left corner of the town center.

[ He makes a mental note that questioning Viki is a pretty fruitless endeavor. ] Nothing. Should it?

[ It totally does! But. ] That's the name of the country I'm from. What about you?

Um! Excuse me! Um...do either of you use runes? They can't have made so many new countries without me knowing, could they?

[inhearts]

Runes? What kind of runes?

[uwawa]

W-wa... [ she fiddles with her sleeves and pulls them up a bit to show the back of her hands. ] Like these?

H-have you heard of True Runes? Oh no, where did I go this time? W-what if I can't go home...

...um, maybe that'd be kind of the same though as before.

[antiside]

[ Interested, Leon leans over a bit to have a look. ]

What does it do?

[uwawa]

H-huh? Oh no, I'm really bad at explaining things. I shouldn't have said anything, waaa...

Um it...does... um.

I'll show you. Oh no, I'm nervous... [ people are watching her ;;; ] Um...ready...set...

[ oh wait, she probably shouldn't aim at them. she turns so that her back is facing them and... aims at a random barrel. And random junk falls and falls from the sky until it's in tatters. ]

L-like that. The Cyclone Rune has different spells and um... there are runes that aren't for magic.... [ HOW DO I EXPLAIN THINGS? ]

[inhearts]

Whoa! [ She stares at the remains of the barrels a bit. And... at the junk. ] Wow! So that was a rune?

[ ...well. ] I can use spells too but my spells don't come from runes.

[antiside]

All of my spells were connected to... my sword.

[ Annnd that seems to remind him of what he was doing before all this, so he stands up abruptly. ]

I have to go.

[uwawa]

W-wait! [ she just remembered something important!!!

Viki raises her left hand, similar to how she cast the spell before. go, go healing wind. ]

Um...you weren't feeling good before, right? I forgot I could do that.

[ He was just about to leave, but the spell stops him in his tracks. It's clear for a moment that he's not sure how to react to that. ]

[antiside]

... You shouldn't do unnecessary things. [ Hope you weren't expecting a "thank you". :( ]

[inhearts]

[ She giggles. ]

... Right. [ He looks somewhat uneasy, but in the end he does leave. Maybe he won't have to see them again. (Yeah, right.) ]

[ Hahano.

When Leon's out of sight, Minako giggles again. ] That was definitely a 'thank you', Viki-chan.

[uwawa]

Eh? Eh? It was? I never knew that! That means they said thank you too? That means...

U-uwa... [ she might be going a little red. ]

[inhearts]

Yeah! Well -- [ she feels like she should insert a disclaimer ] -- not always, but Leon-san definitely thanked you.

[ Curiously, more to herself, ] Was that a rune too?

[uwawa]

He reminds me of them.

Um, yes! It was my Cyclone Rune...

[ and suddenly she notices something, she holds up the wand she's been wandering around with. ] H-huh? What happened to my wand? This isn't my wand?!

[inhearts]

[ ! Well, that's a very shiny wand... ]

Your wand...? Did you drop it back near the food? What does it look like?

[uwawa]

[ MORE DESCRIBING THINGS?!!! ]

Um...um...it has a blue orb at the top...? I don't think I had it here at all... I was holding this one. Where did this come from?

[inhearts]

[ Not dropped during the collision then.

She shakes her head. ] Then I haven't seen it. My naginata disappeared too. Instead, I had this. [ Holding out the fans she had tucked at her sides, opening them with a snap of her wrist. ]

[uwawa]

So...does that mean this is my wand now? I didn't know it could transform.

[inhearts]

Until someone else says otherwise, you should keep it. You need one, right?
