event three | this isn't your average mahou shoujo
CHARACTERS: Any and all!
DATE: May 1st~5th
RATING: G
SUMMARY: To some it's May Day, to others it's the European tradition of Walpurgisnacht-- in The World, we have both for you! There's no dungeons to raid or items to collect this go around, just stop by for free food, bonfires, and maybe some reward items just for your time.
[ A message beeps on everyone's devices the night of the 30th, nearing midnight. Any heavy sleepers or goody two-shoes may miss out on The World's first bonfire, but it probably won't be the last. The message is simple: an invitation to Δ Roaring Midnight's* Old World for good food and a midnight celebration for Walpurgisnacht.
And an alternative come 6AM for Δ Endless Sunshine's* May Queen*, if they'd prefer a daytime picnic and a dance around the maypole.
So what'll it be, Players? ]
( ooc: As these are special event areas, some of the words in these do not exist for player creation. "Midnight's", "Sunshine's", and "May Queen" are some of them! There'll be different event items to earn by attending either of these, and you don't need to pick one or the other. Apologies again for the delay, and for the number of event logs! There'll typically only be two a month or so. )

Humans aren't the only ones capable of cruelty, you know. And..."these sorts"?

All my life, I heard of humans who would do horrible things to my dearest friends. Humans that would beat their Pokemon for "training". Who would abandon them when they no longer served a purpose. I heard of humans that would neglect their Pokemon, ignoring their needs and even neglecting to feed them. I heard of humans that would breed them and simply discard the Pokemon that were not born with the strengths that they were looking for. And I knew Ghetsis, who was a distant man, and whose words were always so swaying.
I only knew of humans in this way. Those were the Pokemon I met.
But I began to meet more Pokemon. I heard their voices, and how happy they were with their good Trainers. I was happy, to see those Pokemon... I wanted to see more humans like that. I wanted to see humans that were loving, and happy. I didn't believe them to be the majority, for a long time, as I pursued my Ideal of separating humans from Pokemon forever. But I was met with the "Truth". They showed me that I was wrong.
I still have many things to see. Many different kinds of humans to see.

You sound a little too focused on those animal things, if I must be honest. Perhaps it's just because of the way you were raised, but surely there's more to life than your pokemon?
And please, just say "people". Again, humans are not the only ones to blame for anything bad in the world.

[Despite saying so, he doesn't seem to be angry or offended. He's explaining patiently, more than anything.]
They have been my friends for a long time. The only friends I had.
[So when others had done his dear friends wrong, he became cynical towards humankind.]
I won't just forget them, in favor of learning about people. Because I learned, after my loss, that I didn't really understand Pokemon, either. There is so much more for me to learn, in so many ways. This time I am doing it on my own, instead of letting someone mislead me.
[Right, that. It's not meant to accuse Saralegui, but it's clear that it bothers N very much to think about.]
fhsgahfjs sorry for the lateness, finals are killing me ;A;
[somewhat hypocritical of him, but. well, it seems a lot more reasonable to be laser focused on taking care of an entire country than on some...animal things.]
It's okay! I only just now finished mine, ah hah
Is there nothing that's of that importance to you?
