SUMMARY: To some it's May Day, to others it's the European tradition of Walpurgisnacht-- in The World, we have both for you! There's no dungeons to raid or items to collect this go around, just stop by for free food, bonfires, and maybe some reward items just for your time.


[ A message beeps on everyone's devices the night of the 30th, nearing midnight. Any heavy sleepers or goody two-shoes may miss out on The World's first bonfire, but it probably won't be the last. The message is simple: an invitation to Δ Roaring Midnight's* Old World for good food and a midnight celebration for Walpurgisnacht.

And an alternative come 6AM for Δ Endless Sunshine's* May Queen*, if they'd prefer a daytime picnic and a dance around the maypole.

So what'll it be, Players? ]


( ooc: As these are special event areas, some of the words in these do not exist for player creation. "Midnight's", "Sunshine's", and "May Queen" are some of them! There'll be different event items to earn by attending either of these, and you don't need to pick one or the other. Apologies again for the delay, and for the number of event logs! There'll typically only be two a month or so. )

[Kirino's off by himself, munching on a shrimp shishkabob and sipping on some juice. He's rather enjoying the food, but... it's a little lonely. He doesn't spot anyone he knows right off the bat, so he just keeps to himself.]

[Meta Knight, too curious for his own good, is walltreeflowering to watch what kind of traditions the people of this realm. That flash of pink hair catches his attention, but he tries to avert contact since he knows that boy isn't Kirby.

...Still, it keeps drawing his attention]

[Kirino feels eyes on him and he eventually glances over and spots Meta Knight. He blinks a couple of times, then waves.]

[Aw damn, stealth was never really his strong suit. But to be the fair knight he is, he must confront directly.]

Definitely. [Kirino gives a polite smile.] The food's pretty good, too.

It is a rather impressive spread.

The music's nice, too, but I think the dancers are a little... well... not that great at least. [He can't help but chuckle a bit at that.]

My name's Kirino, by the way. Kirino Ranmaru.

Oh yes. There is no feeling in it at all. [Considering his victory dances when he, Kirby, Dedede, and Waddle Dee defeat bosses? Yeah.]

I'm Meta Knight. It's a pleasure to meet you.

I'd go up there and show them how it's done, except I'm not a particularly good dancer. [He laughs.]

Ah, likewise. Have you been in this... place long? The World, that is, not just here at the bonfire.

Good. It's disrespectful to do that to them.

[He shrugs at the last question] I've only been here for a week or two. You?

I'm not sure; I've sort of lost track of time. Probably not any longer than you have, though.

Then you know just as much as I do about this place...

Unfortunately, that's true. I do have a friend or two who have been here before, though.

Oh? How long have they been here?

They haven't told me how long, but it sounded like a few months.

Did you notice they were missing from home?

They weren't from my world. I met them when I came here. But one of them said that apparently time at home stops while you're here or something? Then picks back up when you go back.

I see. I've never heard of a case like that...

Neither have I. But then again, this whole thing's pretty new to me. Getting stuck in video games doesn't really happen on a regular basis where I'm from. [Nope, odd soccer-related shenanigans instead.]

Indeed. A computer virus appeared in the real world, but no one's ever gone into the system.

[ Minako is walking about with a plate of food, helping to hand out food to anyone who doesn't want to walk and hitting up anyone who seems to be alone. She offers the plate out. ]

Hello! Here, feel free to take if you want any!

[Kirino, who'd finished his kebab just as Minako walked over, smiled politely and helped himself to another.] Thank you. [Kirino thinks for a moment, then decides that maybe it'd be a good idea to make small talk. He was feeling rather lonely after all.]

It's a nice night, isn't it?

[ Small talk is always welcome. ]

Mmm, it is! [ Beaming, she nods. Then, indicating herself: ] Arisato Minako.

[Kirino nods in acknowledgement.] I'm Kirino Ranmaru. It's nice to meet you, Arisato-san.

It's nice to meet you too, Kirino-kun! [ She picks up a stick and chews on her food thoughtfully for a moment. After swallowing it, she comments, referring to how there are a lot of Japanese people around: ] Looks like there really are a lot of us here.
