event one | Happy St. Patrick's D-- wait what?
CHARACTERS: Any and all!
DATE: April 1st~7th
RATING: PG at the worst, I suppose!
SUMMARY: Perhaps it's an April Fool's joke-- surely Saint Patrick's Day has already passed. And yet clovers rain down and the fountains run green regardless. But it's a nice welcome to The World regardless, so enjoy it while it lasts!
There's gold banners strung from rooftop to rooftop, catching the light of the eternally-setting sun and reflecting it every which way. The ground's already covered in a generous amount of fallen shamrocks, with no end in sight. They're in your hair, on your clothes, in your food-- everywhere!
The main fountain (as well as the smaller second fountain in the alchemy district) is running with fizzing green soda, glass mugs lined up along the edges invitingly. New characters will receive one of two items-- in the first half of the week, they'll be awarded a limited edition golden weapon to suit their class, adorned in emeralds. In the latter half (for later applicants), they'll receive a leprechaun hat. The size is entirely up to the player, so it can range from a cute, small hat a la lolita style, or a big floppy hat, or a dapper silk top hat.
Have a look around, meet others, and enjoy the Irish foods offered for free at NPC shops to go with the soda. All items earned are to stay!
There's even a young silver-haired GM dolled up in green silks at the quest kiosk available for questions, although he doesn't look particularly friendly. His body language says to Stay Away, despite his location right in the upper left corner of the town center.
( ooc | Please remember to tag your characters properly, and have fun! )

Ehhh, do you think these overly friendly people will allow that?

[This is as good a test as any. The sword flashes again, this time cutting horizontally across at about, say, neck height for Hitei. It's fast, just as fast as before, and had this been anywhere else she would have just lost her head. But here, she likely won't even feel a thing, because the weapon didn't even nick her.
A miss, against all logic, and with it the sneer on Yuber's face becomes confusion, and then a scowl. He steps back, bringing his weapon up for closer inspection.]
...what? Is this a joke?

An NPC this time.
The results are the same. It's a big fat MISS.]

So it seems. What a boring place...

Not that I am in any hurry to die by your hand, Mr. Experienced, but perhaps there are conditions you haven't met? Hmm, or could it be a matter of levels? I hope these weapons of theirs are more effective against other things.
no subject
They wouldn't have provided weapons if we weren't meant to be used.

[ For now, but he doesn't say that. Instead he turns to depart. His outline flickers and is gone for all of three seconds before he appears again five feet away.
What the hell. Seriously? ]
