Characters: Dave Strider ( [personal profile] coolness ) & Rose Lalonde ( [personal profile] knitwit )
Date: May 28th.
Date: PG-13 for Derse sibling awesomeness.
Summary: Rose meets Dave. Finally. And he's wearing girl's clothing. Still.

He had caught word of Rose being here from that big mouthed John lookalike, yet for the life of him, he couldn't find her. There was a bit of doubt in the back of his head that maybe Jake had gotten his facts wrong, that he may have slipped Rose and Roxy's names up with all of that peanut butter. Was there a bit of sadness in this conclusion forming in Dave's mind? Yeah, maybe. He didn't show it with his flat expression even in the midst of being dressed up like a magical girl, though. And as he wafted through the waves of players and NPCs alike, he scoured through the city for her.

Where would she be? If she treated this game like Sburb, she'd be out of the city trying to figure out some way to cheat the game like her and her hacker ancestors. Damn cheaters. If she treated it like a normal life sans shittier clothing than Sburb, she'd be in some kind of store, selling..

Books. Aw, fuck.

Dave's pace quickened at the observation and he was busy looking in numerous buildings for what good they sold. Weapons, trades goods, more retarded clothing. Once he saw the novels encased in a glass shrine did he realize he hit the right place.

Was what he was expecting behind the door actually there?

Rose was still mad. Hurt, if anything. As if her own stupidity was rubbed in her face. Rose narrowed her eyes as she watched him unlock the spell. She honestly expected such jabs from John, but not Dave.

Her feet were nimble, carrying her towards the check out counter and tossing a small bit of coins on the table.

"I'm not mad; a bit peeved, sure, but you're not worth getting mad over any longer."

Rose let her hands fall limp as she examined the boy.

"Sibling antics and all. Light hearted fun, right? No reason to be upset."

Rose sounded cold, a bit colder than usual.

For someone who played the game to win, she sure did mood swing rather quickly. She wasn't a tutorial nor a walking FAQ. Usually, she would help the others but her lips remained tightly clamped together.

"Are you finished? I'd rather not dally around a dusty old shop for an hour. There's an inn across the ways and I already reserved my room. I'm fairly tired and would like to retire for the evening."
