SUMMARY: Time to give Springtime one last hurrah with a quest!

[The same thing happened as with the first quest: Relics all over The World ring simultaneously with a message readily available on-screen. It says,

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY (っ´ω｀)ﾉ
It's time for a race! Spring is almost over, and summer is right on the horizon. These tulips aren't going to last much longer. Find four puzzle pieces in the flowers and assemble it to gain access to the Temple where you can find the special item! Don't break the flowers or else you break the puzzle piece, too! The first player or team to solve the puzzle and bring back the special item wins the prize!

Sounds fun, doesn't it? A note at the bottom of the message has three keywords: Δ Serene Sunshine's May Field. Players who warp to this event area will be greeted by a sunny field of tulips. Each flower contains a puzzle piece, but only four pieces match up with each other, so be careful not to destroy the puzzle pieces!

If you're not up for questing this time around, celebrate Mother's Day at a picnic on a plateau on the same map. There is a picnic all set up overflowing with tea and cake and cookies and all sorts of pastries. Why don't you take a break from looking for puzzle pieces here, too?]

(ooc | Apologies for the delay!! Please don't forget to tag your characters in when you post! The keywords in this quest aren't for player creation use either, so keep that in mind!

Now, for the quest low-down: only one player or one party can win this quest. The flowers are fragile, so don't use force when you pry the petals open for the puzzle pieces! Breaking the flowers will result in the puzzle piece crumbling, too. All the puzzle pieces can connect with the right piece, and you need four to complete the puzzle, and players will have to go through a lot of flowers to find the right combination (who said this was an easy quest?). Once assembled, the puzzle will reveal a picture of a tulip in a glass case, which is the item the player/party will find in the temple in the middle of the field area. Bring this back to Kain at Mac Anu, and the player/party will receive the prize. An announcement will be made once the tulip in the glass case is returned. It will then be displayed at the top of the Mac Anu fountain.

The winner(s) of the event will receive +1 level for this event, and a Never-Withering Crown of Flowers that when equipped, gives the player a 5% atk bonus against monsters with the earth element. Good luck and have fun!)

[ but this is... sending alarm bells off in his head. he thinks about this for a moment. then-- ] Say, Mia. This is going to sound a little weird, but... what's the very last thing you remember before you got here?

We were spending a night in Tolbi, about to head to Lalivero.

[ ... that was a long time ago.

actually, that was... pretty much back when they were still running around trying to stop them from lighting the light houses. he doesn't even have to mind-read mia to know that she wouldn't lie about this sort of thing, but it's honestly disconcerting. the time difference is too big-- just what is going on, here? ]

So, at least we remember some of the same things. But I think the problem is... stuff happened after that.

[Her voice shakes, trepidation fully evident.]

Well, the thing is-- you weren't gone. As far as I can remember, you've been with us the entire time.

[ and here, there's confusion evident in his voice-- ] In fact, I didn't even know you were here until... now.

How is that possible?

[revealed]

I was hoping that I could ask you. [ he doesn't sound annoyed, though. just... really, really unsure and confused. a pause. ]

I think whoever brought us here has a lot to answer to.

[mercuryangel]

[She nods.]

We can talk about what happened later. For now, we should probably focus on this quest.

[revealed]

-- right. How's that going, by the way? Any luck with the pieces?

[mercuryangel]

I've been working with someone else, and it's been going well...

[She doesn't see any reason that all three of them couldn't win.]

[revealed]

Then, if we three work together-- I'm sure it'll be solved in no time.

It's times like these that wind psynergy really comes in handy.

[mercuryangel]

I was wondering what that breeze was earlier. You built up quite the pile with it.

[revealed]

Yeah, that was--

Oh, it wasn't too obvious, right? [ suddenly unsure... he's supposed to be keeping his psynergy under wraps, dammit! hopefully mia was the only one who noticed-- ]

[mercuryangel]

I didn't realize that was you, so anyone else that noticed probably thinks it was something else. And from what I've heard we might just be able to pass it off as magic.

[revealed]

I think I'll keep it under wraps, just to be on the safe side. If people ask questions, it'll get awkward.

[ particularly since he wants to hide the fact that he can... read minds... yeah... ]

[mercuryangel]

That might be true, too.

[revealed]

[ trust mia to be understanding about it. he's quiet for a moment, before smiling brightly. ]

Let's sort through this pile of flowers, okay? Maybe we'll find some matches.

[mercuryangel]

[And with another nod, she takes several flowers and begins carefully peeling them open.]

[ and he'll start, too! humming a little-- ]

Oh, by the way, who's the third person?

[mercuryangel]

His name is Roy. He's a bald man with darker skin.

[revealed]

[ thinking... ] I don't think I know him. [ but if mia's recommending him, then it must mean that it's all right to trust him. and ivan trusts mia's judgment. ] He's not from our world, right?

[mercuryangel]

I don't think so.

[Some of the things he says... on the other hand, there's too much of Weyard she hasn't seen to definitively answer that.]
