Nah, it saves some awkwardness later. Basically, I can "bend" the earth to my will, and that's putting it really simply. I can also use the vibrations in the earth to "see," in a way. There's some spiritual hoo-hah, too, but I can't be bothered with it. There's four types, including Earthbending. Waterbending, Airbending, and Firebending. You're just born with it.
